How do I use my health insurance to pay for acupuncture?
The first step to using insurance to pay for acupuncture is to have your benefits confirmed. (See below.)
Once we’ve confirmed that your insurance policy has acupuncture benefits and you’re eligible for coverage, we take care of the rest. You don’t have to worry about claim forms or waiting for reimbursement. We bill your insurance company, so all you have to do is come for acupuncture.*
* There are three exceptions to this statement:
- If you have a co-pay, you will pay it at the time of your visit.
- If you have co-insurance, you will be responsible for that amount once the insurance company decides what the amount is, which can take up to 45 days.
- If you have a deductible, we will bill your insurance to meet your deductible while you pay out-of-pocket.
How can I check my insurance coverage?
To confirm your eligibility, we will need your full name, name of insured (if different), date of birth, insurance company name, member ID, and group number. It takes us a day or two to check your insurance coverage.
Insurance coverage for acupuncture must be confirmed before your appointment. If coverage is not confirmed before your visit, the normal fees apply. A credit will be issued if it turns out that you do have insurance benefits.
How do I contact the office?
You can contact the office either by phone, through the contact form or by emailing the office at the address listed above.
Please note: All appointment must be cancelled 2 business days before the scheduled appointment to avoid a late cancellation fee equal to the cost of a regular visit. This policy also applies to appointments to which you are more than 20 minutes late.
